About Us

PolicyMatters is a public policy research journal and blog run by students at UC Berkeley's prestigious Goldman School of Public Policy.

Established in January 2004 by Richard Halkett and David Deming, the journal provides a forum for exemplary masters-level work from across the country while providing GSPP students an opportunity to publish their own work as well as direct the editing and publishing process.

The PolicyMatters blog, designed and launched in January 2006 by Ernie Tedeschi, MPP '07, is a place for GSPP students to share and comment on opinions and information about present day issues that affect their lives and future careers, as well as shape their views on policy.

To achieve their full potential, both the PolicyMatters journal and blog need the input of our whole community: please read, write, and respond!
